Purchase details: Manners Made Easy by June Hines Moore. Paperback, 48 pages, $12.99. Please support HomeschoolChristian.com by buying this program from our Christian Book Distributors link or Amazon link.

Manners Made Easy gives the essentials of introductions, telephone etiquette, thank-you notes, and table manners. The book, targeting seven to twelve year olds, is separated into the "Teacher" section, in which step-by-step instructions are provided, and a reproducible "Student" section that includes both text and worksheets.

Teachers begin a lesson by explaining the principles of the particular topic, while the student fills out the work pages. Then the class has role-playing or practice . For example, after a discussion of introductions, students in the classroom must stand and introduce other people properly. A quiz on the material is the final portion of the manners lesson. Next, a brief Bible study is provided that relates in some way to the material already covered.

Recommendation: Manners Made Easy teaches basic courtesy skills truly needed in our society in a workbook format. With its easy-to-follow format, inexpensive price, and few materials required, this program will be outstanding for a Sunday school class. Parents implementing it at home need to have several children of their own or invite friends to participate in order to get the most from the activities.
