Rose and Twinkleberry's Guide to Building Your Own Puzzles Using LEGO Building Blocks

by Rose and Twinkleberry, with Doug Walker

Review by Martha Robinson

Rose and Twinkleberry's Guide to Building Your Own Puzzles Using LEGO Building Blocks by Rose and Twinkleberry, with Doug Walker. Spiral bound paperback, 87 pages. Available from HomeschoolChristian.com's Amazon link.

Rose and Twinkleberry's Guide to Building Your Own Puzzles Using LEGO Building Blocks includes more than thirty puzzles ranging from easy to very difficult. Rose and Twinkleberry are two black cats who offer cute comments throughout the book. Patterned after classic wood puzzles from past time, two basic kinds of puzzles, "put-together puzzles" and "sequential movement puzzles," are included.

Each puzzle includes a list of LEGO blocks needed, the puzzle, and how to build the frame into which the puzzle fits. Diagrams and written notes make preparation easy. Solutions for most of the puzzles are shown in the back of the book.

Recommendation: Rose and Twinkleberry's Guide will allow you to sneak some learning into LEGO play time. It offers a great next step for your LEGO crazy child (or husband). The puzzles are mentally stimulating, and the cat authors are very cute.
