Ludere Latine I is a collection of puzzles and games keyed to the lessons in Latina Christiana I. Included activities are word loops, crossword puzzles, and hangman games. The puzzles are easy at the beginning, but increase in complexity as more vocabulary is added and grammar concepts are introduced. Word loops are strictly for vocabulary, but the crossword puzzles require the student to use derivatives, conjugated verbs, and declined nouns. Hangman is played with the Latin sayings.

Five simple games to use with two or more students are briefly explained. The book ends with a full answer key and a vocabulary list.

Ludere Latine I is not reproducible. Rather, Memoria Press offers additional copies at a substantial discount.

Recommendation: Simple ideas are so often the best ones! With Ludere Latine I, Memoria Press has found an easy and creative way to raise students' enthusiasm about Latin and to sneak in learning while the puzzle-solver thinks he is playing. Ludere Latine I is FUN!
