About Robert (Robin) & Mary Leggewie...  Mary is the mother of three children, ages 10, 13, & 15. She has been homeschooling her oldest child since withdrawing her from a Christian school in the middle of first grade. She enjoys a relaxed homeschool lifestyle, preferring to use real books and real life instead of textbooks for most subjects. She and her husband Robin, a former geophysicist turned stock-market transcriptionist and math teacher to local homeschoolers, moved from Orange County to the mountains of Southern California in 1998. Besides encouraging other homeschoolers and surfing the Web, some of her other interests are Amateur Radio and bicycling. Mary completed her Master's in French at the University of Southern California in 1982, and she considers homeschooling a fresh start to fill in all her "traditional school" educational gaps! Robin and Mary also own their own ISP for California Christian homeschoolers, Mountains Christian Academy, and maintains a large lending library for local homeschoolers.
